Preliminary Report on Delivering Climate Training to Union Leaders: Models of Engagement and Sustainability
Presentation by Steven Staples, Research Project Lead, at ACW All Team Meeting Conference, Vancouver, 2016.
Unions in Canada do a significant amount of education for leaders and activists in their organizations and it is important that they seek to integrate climate change awareness and strategies to reduce GHG into the activities of workers and the unions themselves at all levels. As such, the overall aim of the Green Education and Training working group is to develop and deliver training and education programs for workers – both in the workplace and in special courses and sessions outside of the workplace.
